I didn’t set out to become a storyteller. I just wanted to leave a little grandma wisdom behind and maybe make you laugh while I’m at it.”

👋 About Me

Let me introduce myself — I’m Wanda Chappell.

I’m a grandma, a morning person, and a woman with more stories than I know what to do with.

I live in Kalispell, Montana, where I spend my mornings writing (or driving cars for Enterprise), and the rest of the time thinking about what I want to write next. I didn’t set out to become a storyteller. I just wanted to leave a little grandma wisdom behind—something real for my grandkids to hold onto. But once I got going, I realized I had a lot more to say.

I write stories from the heart. Most of them are funny. Some are inspiring. All of them are real in the way only life can be—messy, meaningful, and often a little absurd. You’ll find tales about growing up, raising kids, figuring life out one mistake at a time, and trying to love people (even when it’s hard).

My stories are about memories—some sweet, some sideways—and the moments that stick with you whether you want them to or not. Sometimes they’ll make you laugh. Sometimes they’ll make you tear up. And sometimes, if I’ve done it right, they’ll do both.

If you’ve ever burned dinner, tripped over your own good intentions, or forgotten someone’s name mid-sentence… you’re in the right place.

So pull up a chair. I’ve got a story.

☕ About This Blog

Real-life stories. Short and sweet. With just enough sass to keep it interesting.

This blog is where I share the small moments that make life big. I keep things light, funny, and easy to read—like chatting over a cup of coffee with a friend. Some stories are from way back when, others are from just last week, but they all have one thing in common: they’re real.

You won’t find long-winded essays here. Just little stories with a lot of heart.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Quick reads with bold headings so you can skim if you’re short on time

  • Stories about family, work, memories, and everyday life

  • Moments that make you laugh, think, or nod in agreement

  • A few heartfelt truths wrapped in humor and honesty

Whether you're here for a laugh, a tear, or a trip down memory lane, I’m glad you stopped by.
